The day he proposed was April 29, 2020—my birthday! Since it was pandemic time, everything was closed. We initially made plans to celebrate my birthday at our close friend Alicia's place.
Before leaving for Alicia's, Chris suggested to go for a walk to enjoy the weather first. I agreed and we both proceeded toward the community's garden/yoga area, where he gave me a card. What I believed was a birthday card was actually a proposal card!
While I was reading the card, Chris got on one knee and popped the question. It was an intimate/special moment for the both of us, and we knew we were meant to be!
We had a blast showing Christopher what Boston is all about and also celebrating My Mom's 70th birthday!
The day we closed on our Home 10/24/2021! What a journey it was searching for our first home in this crazy, competitive market. With God's guidance and family support, we were so grateful that we finally closed on a comfortable home in Miami! We can't wait for more of our family and friends to come visit!
Who can say that they graduated at the same time and from the same school as their fiance? It has been a long journey for the both of us working full time and going to school part time but, we are so happy to share that we finally graduated in 2023! Christopher graduated with his 2nd degree and Gretchen with her first bachelors.
